FAMILY - CENTERED FINANCIAL PLANNING
Women's Financial Needs:
WEALTH MANAGEMENT ADVISOR
After a thirty-year career on Wall Street, Lynda recently joined Bleakley Financial Group to lead the SPECIAL LIFE TEAM, delivering financial planning, advisory and wealth management services centered on empowering families to protect and sustain their “special life.” Lynda is one of a small group of financial professionals in the US to hold three complementary designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), Chartered Special Needs Consultant (CHSNC®), and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®). She also holds her Life, Health & Long Term Care insurance licenses, and is qualified as a FINRA Arbitrator - testimony to her record of integrity in the financial services industry. In addition, Lynda holds a certification in Interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce Practice Training (Meets IACP Standards) and is Mosten Guthrie Trained Divorce and Family Mediator (MC3 Approved).
With disciplined objectivity and deepest empathy, Lynda’s team is addressing the unique needs of multiple generations of families, with sophisticated and high-touch wealth, insurance, life and estate planning competencies. Lynda is dedicated to empowering and educating each member of the family while bringing the entire family together to understand and manage both individual and collective financial well-being. Lynda and team are available 24/7 for clients’ families to help plan for and navigate through the toughest challenges life may bring.
Lynda has a special passion for working with women to address their unique family needs. These include financially empowering the multiple generations of girls and women who may not have had the opportunity to learn about finances, ceding them to a spouse or parent who may not always be around. She is active in financial education, leading workshops, webinars and on-on-one sessions, as well as organizing stock market investment clubs as platforms to share, learn and connect. Her CDFA® knowledge informs women working through divorce to realize the best possible financial outcomes. At all times, solutions and services are planned and delivered across the fullest scope of unanticipated life scenarios including wealth transfer, incapacity, divorce or loss of a spouse / partner.
Lynda is also a true ‘warrior mom’ of five children, including a teen with profound autism and a child adopted from China with a learning disability. She is experienced in navigating government benefits, school IEPs, and other administrative challenges often misunderstood by families stuck in the special needs maze. Lynda’s CHSNC® expertise guides a lifelong roadmap of solutions across a broad range of disability, incapacity and mental health challenges, from the highest need chronic conditions to the more episodic, but still demanding extra attention and support from the family.
A Bachelor in Asian Studies from Cornell University, Lynda also holds a graduate level business diploma from the London School of Economics. She is a lifelong student of Asian stock markets, fluent in Mandarin, an avid golfer and an Asian art collector. Lynda is also a powerful advocate for the educational and civil rights of adults and children with disabilities or incapacities, a member of the Simons / Spark Autism Research Council, a former elected legislator in her hometown of Westport, CT, and a member of the Cayuga Society at Cornell.
I am applying all my training, experience, and spirit to redefine family wealth management in a sophisticated yet compassionate, empathetic, and holistic way – with clients’ best interest, lower costs, greater tax efficiency, and unique values at heart."
